The Friendship Bench provides sustainable community-based psychological interventions that are evidence-based, accessible, and scalable. They offer online, one-to-one treatment delivered by trained mental health supporters via WhatsApp and phone. Sessions include screening for depression and anxiety, problem-solving talk therapy, and behavioral activation support. Free talk therapy for people struggling with mild to moderate depression, anxiety, substance misuse, suicide ideation, emotional distress, relationship difficulties, or those experiencing poor quality of life due to emotional distress from chronic medical illnesses.
