LATEF is a free 24/7 telephone helpline operated by the Mauritanian Association for Mother and Child Health (AMSME). It provides crisis support, assistance, and counseling for children and women in Mauritania, addressing child protection, domestic violence, child abuse, mental health distress, and support for vulnerable mothers.

SOS Esclaves is a leading anti-slavery NGO in Mauritania, founded in 1995. They help people escape from slavery and rebuild their lives through direct assistance: financial support, shelter, basic education, vocational training, and microloans to survivors. The only psychiatric hospital in Mauritania, located at the Centre Hospitalier des Spécialités de Nouakchott. Provides inpatient and outpatient psychiatric care with 20 beds for mental health patients. Free public hospital.
