Helplines in Lebanon

The National Lifeline is a free, anonymous 24/7 suicide prevention hotline operated by Embrace in partnership with the Ministry of Public Health. Provides immediate emotional support, psychological crisis intervention through active listening, suicide risk assessment, referrals to community mental health services, and dispatches mobile crisis teams in Beirut, Tripoli, and Tyre during mental health emergencies.

KAFA Support Center provides FREE comprehensive services for women and children experiencing violence, forced labor, and exploitation. Services include 24/7 crisis line (03-018019), social work intervention, psychological evaluation, psychiatric referral, legal consultation, safe shelter referral, forensic documentation, speech/motor therapy for children, support groups, life skills courses, and psychosocial support. Targets migrant workers and GBV survivors.

FREE 24/7 government hotline (1740) for female migrant domestic workers to report abuse, mistreatment, and exploitation. Operated by Ministry of Labour in cooperation with Caritas Lebanon, funded by ILO/EU. Social workers provide multilingual support, document complaints, information on workers' rights, and referrals to healthcare, legal assistance, shelters, and government institutions.

FREE government hotline (112) operated by Lebanon's Internal Security Forces for reporting digital abuse, blackmail, cybercrime, and sexual exploitation online. Also available via online form at isf.gov.lb/ar/report. Provides victim support, investigation, and protection services.

FREE legal aid for poor and vulnerable individuals. Operates 24/7 Arrest and Detention Hotline and 24/7 Protection Hotline for violence/abuse victims. Assists with civil, criminal, and family law cases. Provides consultations and representation.

ABAAD is a FREE UN ECOSOC-accredited NGO providing 24/7 emergency support for survivors of gender-based violence, domestic violence, and human trafficking. Services include 24/7 emergency safeline (+961 81 78 81 78), case management, psychosocial support, mental health services, emergency safe shelter, legal support, and prevention services. Serves nearly 25,000 beneficiaries annually.

FREE holistic program (24/7 helpline) supporting marginalized and vulnerable groups, especially LGBTQIA+ communities. Provides sensitive mental health services (individual/group therapy, drama/art therapy), transgender-specific programming, sexual violence survivor support (including male survivors and trans persons), family counseling, and advocacy for SOGIESC issues.

FREE humanitarian organization providing emergency response services including ambulance/EMS, emergency treatment and transport, disaster response, shelters, essential supplies distribution, primary healthcare, psychosocial support, and blood transfusion services. Responds to crises including disasters, conflicts, and emergencies.

Dar Al Amal (House of Hope, est. 1969-1970) provides FREE support to children (11-18) living in difficult social/familial conditions and at risk of delinquency. Services include prevention programs for child victims of violence/sexual abuse/exploitation, literacy, legal assistance, medical and psychological support, vocational training, psychosocial support, educational activities, healthcare, and social reintegration.

LECORVAW is a FREE NGO (est. 1997) with listening and counseling centers in Beirut and Tripoli providing social, mental health, and legal services to women and girls experiencing gender-based violence. Services include helpline support, counseling, and referrals for survivors of domestic violence, sexual assault, forced marriage, and FGM.
