National toll-free mental health helpline launched in September 2022 by Ghana's Mental Health Authority. Provides free psycho-social support from mental health experts for individuals facing mental health challenges, including suicide, depression, stress, and other psycho-social difficulties.

Domestic Violence and Victims Support Unit (DOVVSU) Hotline

Ghana Police Service unit providing free comprehensive support for domestic violence, gender-based violence, and child abuse cases. One-stop centre offering investigation, medical referrals, psychological counseling, social work assistance, and crime prevention education. Supported by UNFPA.

National toll-free call centre operated by Ministry of Gender, Children and Social Protection. Reports and provides support for child labor, forced labor, human trafficking, and child abuse cases. Multiple reporting channels: phone, SMS (8020), email, and in-person at District Social Welfare offices.

The Pearl Safe Haven

Emergency shelter for survivors of sexual and domestic violence. Provides free 3-month comprehensive recovery programme including medical, psychological and legal support, plus life-skills and vocational training. Capacity for 25 women at a time. Continued support for 6 months post-residency.

Birthright of Ghana

Free and confidential pregnancy support for women facing unplanned pregnancies. Services include free pregnancy testing, professional counseling, emotional support, practical assistance (maternity and baby clothes), referrals for housing, medical needs, education and employment. Free mobile-based mental health screening service using USSD technology. Screens for depression, anxiety, and psychosis. Call center personnel follow up to provide further assessment and arrange free/subsidized consultations at nearest mental health unit under NHIS.
