Helplines in Armenia

The Ministry of Labor and Social Affairs provides assistance and urges citizens needing help or offering it to contact them directly via hotlines. While not exclusively for unemployment, they handle applications and provide responses, which can include employment-related support.

The Ministry of Emergency Situations is responsible for disaster management, including preparedness, response, and mitigation efforts in Armenia.

Safe YOU is a mobile app designed to protect and empower women and girls. It provides access to safety tools, legal and psychosocial support, and secure evidence collection. It also offers community engagement and advice through forum rooms with professionals and peer-to-peer discussions. While its primary focus is on gender-based violence, it can offer support for issues that may arise from cyberbullying, particularly for young women.

UMCOR's toll-free telephone hotline provides immediate help to victims of trafficking and refers individuals with social and legal justice issues to relevant agencies. Hotline operators offer information related to trafficking, safe migration, and assistance options for employment and migration-related issues. A project lawyer provides consultations through the hotline.

The Armenian Police have launched a hotline to address increasing internet scams and fraud. This service can be utilized by citizens who have been victims of or are seeking advice on internet fraud, which can include online harassment.

Operated by the Trust Social Work and Sociological Research Centre, offering support to individuals in crisis.

The FAR Children's Center transforms young lives through crisis intervention, critical short-term rehabilitation and stabilization for victims of abuse, abandonment, neglect, and behavioral, emotional, and psychological problems. The Center offers access to shelter, medical care, counseling, and legal assistance. It provides educational and psychosocial support, life skills training, and guidance for family members when safe reunification is possible.

The Women's Support Center offers crisis response for victims of domestic violence and refers other calls. While their primary focus is domestic violence, they can provide support and referrals for women experiencing abuse, which may include non-consensual intimate image distribution if it is part of a pattern of abuse or harassment.

The Child Rights Protection Unit of the Ombudsman's office provides services related to child rights protection, which would include addressing cases of neglect.

The Armenian Red Cross Society implements large-scale activities towards providing social-medical services, raising awareness among the population about communicable and non-communicable diseases, and promoting healthy lifestyles. While not exclusively for drug addiction, their social support and health care initiatives can encompass related issues and provide referrals.
